ITINERARY
This is an exhilarating rock climbing course in Phoenix & Scottsdale, prioritizing safety and skill development. Led by professionally trained and medically certified instructors, learn essential techniques like knots, belaying, and climbing communication. With a focus on practical application, master fundamental skills to become a proficient "second" climber outdoors. Understand the importance of learning good habits to ensure a lifetime of safe climbing experiences. Our course emphasizes creating safe climbers rather than just great climbers, providing the necessary tools and knowledge for a gratifying and secure climbing journey. Duration: Full day
Departs: October-April: 8:00am-5:00pm; all courses take place at Tom's Thumb trailhead in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve.
Includes: Permits & entry fees, skilled instructors, all ropes and anchor gear.
Cost: 1 Guest - $425; 2 Guests - $325/person; 3 Guests - $290/person; 4-8 Guests - $225/person
Season: This class is available all year, weather dependent. Start times will vary.
Skill level: Beginner to Intermediate - this course is perfect for first time climbers or those wanting to make the transition from indoor to outdoor climbing. Participants must be able to hike with a 20lb pack over uneven terrain for approximately 4 miles. Turning around or pulling out is not an option. This tour is not recommended for guests with knee, hip, back issues or are pregnant. Please note that bees are often present in canyons.
Notes: RESERVATIONS REQUIRED. Comfortable clothing that allows for a range of motion is recommended. Participants are required to have a helmet, harness, locking carabiner & belay device, and climbing shoes. (Rental gear is available). Participants must wear appropriate closed-toe footwear to class. Guests must also bring their own water, snacks and lunch. Minimum age 8 years old.
Cancellation Policy: Our tours do not automatically cancel for rain, however we will cancel them if the weather is considered dangerous. 360 Adventures guides will determine what constitutes dangerous conditions. This class has a 7-day cancelation policy. If your plans change for any reason, please be sure to notify us IN WRITING at least 7 days prior to the day of your tour to avoid charges.
