ITINERARY
Verde Canyon Railroad offers a scenic 20-mile roundtrip adventure through a remote red rock canyon accessible only by rail. Passengers enjoy vintage cars with first-class seating, premium bar service, appetizers, and a complimentary champagne toast. The four-hour journey showcases stunning views of southwestern plants, wildlife, historic trestles, unique rock formations, and a 680-foot tunnel. Traveling through a rare riparian ecosystem, only 2% of Arizona’s landscape, guests experience captivating narration, railroad songs, and engaging stories from knowledgeable attendants. This comfortable and family-friendly excursion blends natural beauty, history, and exceptional service for all ages.

Cost: Slow Season (January; July-August): $120/person; Busy Season (the rest of the year): $139/person
**Price does not include a $5/person fuel surcharge or 9.85% tax.  There is a 2 person minimum.

Duration:  3.5-4 hours round-trip 

Departs: Clarkdale, Arizona, in the heart of Arizona’s Verde Valley. Ask our Adventure Specialists about current time schedule. Most trains depart at 1pm and return to the depot by 5pm. It is recommended guests arrive at the depot 2 hours prior to departure to best enjoy the museum, shops and café at the depot prior to boarding time. From May through September there are Saturday evening starlight runs, departing at 5:30 p.m.

Includes:  First Class includes a complimentary Champagne toast after boarding, hot and cold appetizers, and bottled water throughout the trip. With access to adjacent open-air viewing cars, all passengers have “two seats” for the price of one. Car attendants are provided in both the indoor and outdoor cars to share interpretive information and answer any questions passengers may have.

Season:  This tour is available year round however some dates have special event priding.
