The Experience
You meet your guide at Butcher Jones Recreation Site on Saguaro Lake, where the touring SUP, paddle, leash, and PFD are fitted and the basics are covered on shore. From the launch, you paddle calm flatwater into sheltered coves and along shoreline cliffs beneath the Superstition Mountains and Four Peaks. The guide shares the lake's ecology and points out birds, bighorn sheep, and other wildlife along the way. A water and snack break on the board precedes the paddle back to the launch site.

- Booking note: a 2-guest minimum applies, and a solo traveler is charged for two seats. Optional roundtrip transportation is $295 per group, and a private tour upgrade is $200 per group. Lake entry permits are included.

Where does the Saguaro Lake SUP tour meet? ▼
The tour meets at Butcher Jones Recreation Site at Saguaro Lake on North Bush Highway, with the exact spot confirmed in your booking. Your guide calls ahead with timing and what to bring. A National Forest parking pass and lake entry permits are included.
Do I need paddle board experience? ▼
No. The lake is calm flatwater and the guide covers stance, stroke, and turning before launch. The tour is for ages 10 and up, and every guest must weigh at least 35 lbs to fit the PFD. You should be comfortable on the water for about two hours with breaks.
What about heat and weather? ▼
Tours run year-round. October through April offers 8 AM or 1 PM departures; May through September moves to 7 AM to beat the heat. Guides monitor weather and may adjust or cancel for lightning, high wind, or unsafe conditions. The lake is exposed, so bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses.
What should I wear and bring? ▼
Secure water shoes or sport sandals with a heel strap are required; no flip-flops or bare feet. Wear comfortable athletic clothing and bring a change of clothes for the ride home. Pack sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, a waterproof phone case, and any medications.
What is this tour's cancellation and rescheduling policy? ▼
Strict 72-hour window. Send cancellations or changes in writing through our contact form; replies to your confirmation email cannot be processed. More than 72 hours out, you receive a full refund minus card processing fees; inside 72 hours or a no-show, the booking is charged in full. If 360 Adventures cancels for severe conditions, you receive a 100% refund including fees.
