The Experience

Explore Sedona’s iconic red rock country on a private half-day hike tailored to your group’s interests, fitness, and preferred pace. Your adventure begins at a trailhead selected to match your group’s abilities and goals, with the meeting location confirmed before your tour. After a safety briefing and gear check, you’ll head into the high desert, following natural trails across rugged slickrock and past towering sandstone formations. Along the way, your guide will share stories of the Sinagua people and the homesteaders who followed, while pointing out the region’s distinctive plants, wildlife, and geology. Depending on your chosen route, you can focus on covering more ground over challenging terrain or take a more relaxed approach with time to appreciate the scenery and photograph landmarks such as Cathedral Rock, Bell Rock, and Courthouse Butte.

The experience lasts approximately four to five hours, with a baseline route of around three miles and distance and difficulty adjusted to your group. You’ll stop at a scenic overlook for lunch, snacks, and water before continuing to additional viewpoints and looping back to the trailhead. This is a private guided experience for your group, with route planning and professional interpretation included. Bring two to three liters of water per person, electrolyte snacks, a packed lunch, a small daypack, and sun protection. Sturdy, closed-toe hiking shoes or trail runners with good tread are required, and a Red Rock Pass is needed for parking at most trailheads. The tour operates year-round, with earlier starts recommended in the warmer months. Guests must be at least 10 years old.
