We stage at the Fry's Supermarket on US-60 in Miami, just west of Globe. Your lead guide calls the evening before to confirm timing, road conditions, and the plan for the day; if you miss that call, meet right out front of the store. From there we caravan north past Roosevelt Lake and up State Route 288 into the Sierra Ancha. Drive times from Phoenix, Scottsdale, or Sedona vary, so plan your morning accordingly.

None. Your guides teach a full ground school before the first drop, belay every rappel, and rig every anchor. The one athletic test is the canyon exit: a 15-foot chimney climb that beginners handle with a handline and coaching. Participants should be 8 or older, comfortable hiking uneven terrain for 4 to 5 hours, and able to fit our harnesses (adults up to a 42-inch waist; children's harnesses available). This tour is not a fit for severe unmanaged vertigo or recent joint surgeries.

This canyon runs November through April to dodge desert heat, and it is normally dry: after wet spells you may find seasonal waterfalls and shallow pothole pools, which we usually bypass. We monitor regional weather and upstream conditions for every departure, and 360 Adventures holds sole discretion on whether the canyon is safe to enter. If we call it off, you can reschedule or take a full cancellation. One desert constant: bees are often present outdoors, so if you have a severe allergy, bring your medication.

Broken-in, closed-toe hiking boots or trail runners with aggressive tread are mandatory; sandals, open-toed shoes, and smooth-soled sneakers are strictly prohibited. Wear synthetic layers and durable pants or long tights, since the canyon walls are abrasive, and bring 24 to 32 oz of water in a durable bottle (we provide filtered refills). Add sunglasses with a retention strap and sunscreen for the open approach.

Strict 72-hour policy. Send cancellations or change requests in writing via our contact form; replies to your confirmation email cannot be processed. More than 72 hours out, you receive a full refund minus card processing fees; inside 72 hours or a no-show, the booking is charged in full. If 360 Adventures cancels for conditions, you receive a 100% refund including fees. Everyone must sign the online waiver at least 72 hours before the tour; a parent or guardian signs for anyone under 18.
