The Experience
You meet your guide at Papago Park, where the buttes rise out of the desert and the Phoenix skyline sits behind them. After a harness and helmet fit, your guide walks you through the rope system, the commands, and the body position for stepping backward over the edge, then puts you on your first descent. From there you work down the park's red conglomerate faces at your own pace, with the guides handling anchors and belays while you focus on the rock and your footing. Three hours later you are back on flat ground, dust on your hands and photos of the day already in your pocket.

- Booking note: groups of 8 or more add an automatic 15% gratuity. Add any prior rope experience and shoe sizes in the special request box so guides can plan the descents.

Where do we meet, and how do I find you? ▼
Meet at the West Buttes Parking Lot at Papago Park in Phoenix. Your confirmation includes the exact meeting spot and arrival time.
Do I need rappelling experience or a certain fitness level? ▼
No rope experience is needed; guides teach the technique before your first descent. You should be comfortable hiking on uneven terrain and staying active for about three hours. The minimum age is 8; contact us for younger children.
What is included? ▼
Your session includes certified guides, harness, helmet, ropes, daypacks, snacks, water refills, and free photos of your tour.
What should I wear and bring? ▼
Closed-toe shoes with good traction are required, along with clothing that allows a wide range of motion. Bring 24 to 32 ounces of water, sun protection, and a camera or phone.
What is the cancellation policy? ▼
Strict 72-hour policy. Send cancellations or rescheduling requests in writing through our contact form; replies to your confirmation email cannot be processed. More than 72 hours out, you receive a full refund minus card processing fees. Inside 72 hours, or a no-show, the booking is charged in full. If 360 Adventures cancels for conditions, you receive a 100% refund including fees.
