The Experience
The day starts with a pickup from a select Scottsdale or Phoenix resort, or a nearby meeting point confirmed the day before, then the drive to the Cline Cabin Road staging area in the Tonto National Forest, where the open-air H1 is waiting at the edge of the trail. After the safety briefing you climb aboard for roughly two hours of backcountry road: steep grades, seasonal washes, and rocky canyon shelves that keep the truck working the whole way. Your guide narrates the desert as you go and stops for photos and water when the view opens up. You come back to staging with the dust still on your boots.

Essential Tour FAQs
Where does the Hummer tour stage? ▼
Pickup is arranged from select Scottsdale and Phoenix resorts, with the route confirmed the day before; depending on the route you may be asked to meet at a nearby point. We then drive you to the designated off-road area on Cline Cabin Road in Tonto National Forest, off the Fort McDowell corridor. If you are driving yourself, the staging area is at GPS 33°40'09.7"N 111°29'43.7"W; it is a remote trailhead, so plan your own vehicle or arrange roundtrip transit in advance.
Is it suitable for children and older guests? ▼
Yes. This is a passenger tour with no driving required, suitable for ages 3 and up. Solo travelers and couples can book online; we pair you with an existing vehicle run to meet the 3-passenger launch threshold. Car seats are required for children 5 and under, and guests should be able to climb into the open-air Hummer with minimal assistance. Pregnant guests cannot participate.
What are the trail and weather conditions? ▼
Tours run year-round and in most weather, with summer morning departures moving to 7 AM. Expect dust, sun, and a rough ride over rocky shelves and seasonal washes. Guides monitor conditions and cancel only for severe or hazardous weather.
What should I wear and bring? ▼
Closed-toe shoes are recommended; sandals and slides are not ideal on the trail. Wear comfortable clothes you can get dusty, with sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen. Bring a camera and any medications. Water and snacks are provided.
What is this tour's cancellation and rescheduling policy? ▼
Strict 72-hour window. Send cancellations or changes in writing through our contact form; replies to your confirmation email cannot be processed. More than 72 hours out, you receive a full refund minus card processing fees; inside 72 hours or a no-show, the booking is charged in full. If 360 Adventures cancels for severe conditions, you receive a 100% refund including fees.
