The Experience
Your guide confirms the pickup route the day before, collecting you from a select Phoenix, Scottsdale, or Tempe hotel or a nearby meeting point, with a breakfast stop on the road north before the desert opens into the Navajo Nation. At Lower Antelope Canyon a Navajo guide leads you through the slotted sandstone corridors and up the steep metal ladders, with the light shifting overhead. After a sit-down lunch in Page you walk the 1.5-mile unshaded rim at Horseshoe Bend, with a trading-post stop on the way home, and the return drive puts you back at your hotel between 7:30 and 8:30 PM.

How does hotel pickup work for this long day? ▼
Complimentary roundtrip pickup is available from select hotels across Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Tempe, with pickup between 5 and 6 AM depending on your location. The exact time is confirmed the day before. Depending on the route, you may be asked to meet at a nearby point. Be ready early; the drive to Page is long and the canyon entry time is fixed.
What can I bring into Antelope Canyon? ▼
Bags, purses, backpacks, tripods, hiking poles, and service animals are strictly prohibited inside Lower Antelope Canyon per Navajo tribal regulations. Carry only what fits in pockets, and leave everything else in the vehicle. Cameras are allowed, but no drone or professional rigs.
How difficult is the canyon and Horseshoe Bend? ▼
Antelope Canyon requires agility on slanted sandstone and steep metal ladders and stairs, and Horseshoe Bend is a 1.5-mile roundtrip walk with no shade. The tour is for ages 3 and up, but guests with limited mobility or a fear of confined spaces should consider a different tour. Summer heat at Horseshoe Bend is severe.
What should I wear and bring? ▼
Wear closed-toe shoes with good grip for slickrock and ladders, plus a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen for Horseshoe Bend. Bring a light layer, a camera that fits in a pocket, a government-issued photo ID, and any medications. Lunch and water are provided.
